The refined and sophisticated Fly Float kitchen from Modulnova combines stone with wood, softening the minimalist formalism of the overall aesthetic whilst also using warm shades for the finishes. The raw finish of the materials both highlights and preserves the authenticity of the natural materials used in this kitchen. The wood is first cleaned with a jet of fine sand, which sanitises the surface and restores it to its original condition, as well as preparing it for the application of eco-friendly vegetable oils that enhance its texture. A cedar brown finish for the front of the base units is used to match the Emperador stone selected for the worktop, which provides an elegant effect – enhanced by the striking bronze dust doors of the tall storage units. The other tall units feature a finish that matches the façade of the island, thus creating an elegant coating consisting of 15-centimetre wooden slats. These have a recessed slatted pressure-opening system that separates the kitchen from a large larder area (seen through tinted glass), where wines and quality food can be stored, as well as crockery and various kitchen accessories.
Modulnova is situated in Avda. Salamanca in San Pedro de Alcántara (www. modulnovamarbella.com).
