Ingka had announced in 2018 that it was building its first store in the Philippines. The project is located in SM Mall of Asia and costs about peso 7 billion, covering 65,000 square meters. It’s larger than 150 basketball courts and nearly doubles the size of existing IKEA standard stores, ranking as the largest store in the world.
SM Mall of Asia is part of the gaming district of Manila, the capital of Philippine, where the integrated casino resorts, each valuing about $1 billion and is an economically active area. Recently, the project has officially announced the completion of the ceiling.
